Tegan, an Australian, was on her way to her first job as an air hostess at Heathrow, when her car broke down and she stopped at a Police Box to ring for help in Logopolis. Extremely self-assured, thinks she knows it all, and constantly changing her mind about staying with the Doctor or returning to Earth.
At the end of Resurrection of the Daleks she was sickened with all the violence and decided remain on Earth to help the survivors who had suffered from the attack. Janet attended the Dimensions 2004 convention in November and recently the Invasion 5 event in March 2005 and it has been reported that was returning in one off Big Finish Adventure in 2006, however she is returning in the new trilogy with Peter Davison in 2010.
