A favourite of the Doctor

The Doctor visited Earth reguarly.

A planet within the Milky Way. Home to the human race, one of the most powerful races in the galaxy, whose Empires, Federations and colonies spread at various times to the farthest reaches of the Universe.

During the beginning of the 3rd Doctor era the Doctor was on exile due to recent events at the end of the War Games. However at the end of the Three Doctors - the Timelords restored the Doctors memory and he was free to travel once more but came back once again to assist if needed.

Whilst he was on exile he assisted UNIT with their problems - mainly when threats to Earth which they couldn't deal with.
