Katarina was a Trojan slave girl to the Prophet of Doom, Cassandra, at the time of the siege of Troy.

She met the Doctor when he helped carry the wounded Steven back to the TARDIS, (The Myth Makers) and became involved in his next adventure, The Daleks' Masterplan, preventing the Daleks from gaining control of all Time and Space, a struggle which cost Katarina her life.
