A strong-willed (and lunged) redhead fitness fanatic and computer programmer with a near-photographic memory, Melanie Bush lived in Pease Pottage. We first see her with the sixth Doctor on the Hyperion III, en route from Mogar to Earth in Terror of the Vervoids.

She at many times tried to get the burly sixth Doctor onto a diet and fitness regime and constantly insisted that he drink carrot juice. She left the Doctor on Iceworld, accompanying Glitz in an attempt to mend his ways in Dragonfire.

Bonnie has recently reprised her role as Mel in Big Finish audios.
