Sarah Jane Smith used to be a journalist. In the 1970's she travelled in space and time with the Doctor. Now she spends her time defending the Earth against aliens with her newly adopted son Luke and friend Maria.
Elisabeth Sladen plays Sarah Jane . Unfortunately she died on 19 April due to cancer.
