Sutekh

A powerful Osirian who posed as a god, Set, in Ancient Egypt.

Although wholly evil and malevolent, Osirian code would not allow his brother, Horus, to destroy him, so Sutekh was placed, immobile, in an Egyptian pyramid.

The only way to release him was via a key placed in a similar pyramid on Mars.

Sutekh used the cadaver of an English explorer, Marcus Scarman, to go to Mars and destroy the Eye of Horus, thus achieving his freedom. The Doctor set up a time field which aged Sutekh to his natural death, thousands of years into the future.
