Story Synopsis
The TARDIS arrives on a planet where a race of known only as the Aliens have gathered soldiers from a number of different wars in Earths history, who have been brain washed and put in to battle.
The War Lord is assisted by a Security cheif and the War Cheif. The War Cheif is also a member of the Doctor's race, the timelords and quickly regonises him
They are using a form of craft known as SIDRATs, which are essensial to their task, but there are plans to double cross them
Whilst this is happening, the Doctor is assisted by a group of resistance fighters who have managed to shake off the alien's control.
Patrick Troughton's era as the Doctor ends here

The story title and writer credits is interspersed with footage of gunfire and explosions.These credits use a different lettering to usual.No script editor is credited for the duration of the story.Episode Two includes clips from The Web of Fear 1 and Fury from the Deep 1, but not as flashbacks - they are incorporated into the narrative of the episode.This story marked the end of an era, with the departures of all three regulars and the explanation of the Doctor's origin; the Time Lords are first mentioned in Episode Six (by Vernon Dobtcheff) but the name was revealed in the Radio Times preview that accompanied Episode One.
